Having a book professionally written costs from 2,500 euros for a short project, 6,000-15,000 for a full biography, more for a complex novel. The price depends on three things: how long it is, how much research it needs, and how many hands it must pass through before it is right.
Three factors, always the same. Length: a hundred-page family story and a four-hundred-page manual are not the same job. Research: a book born from interviews takes hours of conversation and transcription; one that needs archives, documents and verification takes weeks. And the passages between hands: drafting, revision, proofreading: every extra round is quality you pay for and can see. Publishing (cover, layout, stores) may be included or remain a separate chapter.
A professional studio costs more and delivers a finished work, with a contract, confidentiality and a chain of revision. A single freelancer can cost less: it all depends on who you find, and you discover the difference halfway through. Doing it yourself with AI costs nothing and it shows: everyone recognises generic text, no one recognises your voice in it. A book that has to last deserves hands that know what they are doing.
